I'm intrigued by this recipe. I am not keen on ingesting ascorbic acid. Do you have a source for the claim that mashed beans and ascorbic acid produces zinc? And is there any other reason to include ascorbic acid? I'm inclined to leave it out, and make the brew with the rest, but if it's really a benefit, I'd consider including it.

Thank you, Betsy, I will find out more on this for you. I have someone I can ask to double check on the ascorbic acid. A qualified Naturopath who is very good on checking my recipes. I'll get the low down today and get back to you.

I found out about this and will post a note about it to help others understand. Zinc is notoriously hard to absorb and it's a two part process in this recipe. Mashing the beans with the ascorbic acid releases the Zinc from the beans (normally this happens through slow cooking in a stew or something like that). Then it's the Quercitin in the recipe that combines to take the Zinc into the cells where it is most needed and can do it's work. I hope that's helpful. The ascorbic acid I use is 100% Vitimin C with no other ingredients as a guide.

And I recently learned hydroxychloroquine mimics the natural quercetin found in citrus peels, especially grapefruit. Quercetin and quinine are both natural compounds found in certain foods and plants, but they have different chemical structures and functions. Quercetin is a flavonoid antioxidant commonly found in fruits, vegetables, and grains, known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Quinine, on the other hand, is an alkaloid primarily derived from the bark of the cinchona tree and is used as a medication to treat malaria and as a flavoring agent, notably in tonic water. While both have potential health benefits, they serve different purposes and have distinct mechanisms of action in the body…& both can be considered “natural plant medicines” ;)

This is golden, thank you, Marcella. I love to go deeper with my understanding and these are the things I picked up doing my research. My friend was on the dreaded Statins and the doc said Grapefruit is harmful (why I added that bit), lemon rots your teeth and that he needed to lower (life-giving) cholesterol, the measure of which keeps changing to sell more pharma. He's off them now with just 2 natural supplements, long story. The zinc made by mashing the beans in the citrus powder was a key factor, and the Christmas Tree pine needles for Vit A and the compound you speak of. Then I added the dried items for various things and frozen lemons and grapefruit for Quercitin. It's a powerful brew. I will look into your remedy which I am so grateful for, we need to cover all bases.

FYI a dear friend of mine who only consumed organic raw fruits and veggies for the past 15 years just died at 63 from a 3 year journey with Parkinson’s and he had tested positive for a pesticide and a few other toxic chemicals in his blood, bones and brain that he was exposed to from doing carpeting work with toxic glues as a teenager and organic farming for 20 years on land that previously grew cotton and used copious amounts of herbicides and pesticides … I am so excited to finally feel we can start to change this from the soil up to our own guts!

Oh my, what a story! There are millions of us carrying stuff around that silently works against us. As you say, listening to our elders, finding natural combinations and processes and remedies is such a rewarding thing to do. And then to share these things after they work for you and others, it is exciting! Lovely to have met you! 💕

What wonderful and potent Covid killing combo with all those ingredients that contain shikimic acid! This will not work for grabbing glyphosates or many other herbicide, fungicides and pesticides …I just learned from an elder who spoke after we watched Into The Weeds in our local Coalition for the Land gathering last night that we must use zeolite & bentonite clays to grab the glyphosate and keep it from being dissolved in water and moved around (or lime if in the soil) and then use raw sauerkraut juice to break it down as it requires the probiotics to weaken its structure …and raw sauerkraut juice can also be consumed by humans to do the same in the digestive tract …we also have creative new non-toxic products being developed for breaking down glyphosates in the soil which is so exciting https://www.ancientorganicsbio.com/shop/

Wow, Marcelle, thank you! Yes, this was the best protection I could come up with during the scare. Also for a few close friends that went the other way and came to me after the event which turned out to be unbelievably helpful for them. And yes, the Roundup, 13,000+ cases and Bayer on the brink of bankruptcy (we wish). Helping with this is phenomenal task and I will take a look, a good addendum to a post my colleague wrote about it. I salute you and sending my love. 💛🤗💫

This sounds amazing. If I could buy this pre-made (and have it shipped to Switzerland) I would absolutely do so. I will try to motivate myself to make it, but if you were to sell it please let me know.

Thank you, it's a powerful remedy and well worth making and taking over a period to clean things out. I haven't plans to sell as yet but have made it several times, any questions please let me know.
