Echo Joan's comment about the grid and the writing (but then I knew that already!)

A sense-full sensitive piece, thank you Sue.

So interesting...and well written! I’ve always been told I’m too sensitive... but it’s not a weakness! I agree we get desensitized by media and today’s culture! I appreciate the grid and you pointing out the sweet spot. If folks were more sensitive, we’d have a much better world! Be intentional, be willing to make change. Thanks for this, Sue! 😊

Thank you for this thought-provoking article Sue.

Vision, scent, sound, taste, touch and what do you call the other 2?

Thank you so much, Antila, I am delighted to hear this. The other two senses are Intuition and Emotion which so often left out in our man-made world of separation and selectiveness. Everything is connected as we know and the five senses we are familiar with are just part of the story. Without Intuition and Emotion we could not achieve 'Sensory Perception' which is how we interpret and 'feel' things and how we 'know' things from our own consciousness and that of the collective and Universal consciousness. I hope that makes sense (lol) and it is my wish that we all take the time to engage with our senses much more - being in and experiencing Nature is a perfect way to do that.

Thank you for explaining and a appreciated the pun. In a way those 2 still wrap in with the idea that all senses are an extension of touch. Emotions touch us as do events and/or thoughts. Lovely

Thank you and my pleasure. I love what you say about emotions, touching moments are the most special to us. The sychronicity of words around the meaning of 'senses' is amazing when you start joining the dots and I agree, it's all quite lovely.

Wow, this is great. The part about loosing our sense of purpose without our sensitivity resonates with me and something I’m only now realizing. My depths and my emotions are my gift. This is all very interesting, especially the part about the when the world began looking more towards science. The balance is off, logic reigns supreme, intuition is ignored or completely lost. It has been forgotten we are nature.

This is wonderful to hear, Kenna. Thank you so much for sharing this with me and I am so glad my post resonated with you. We are all sensitive beings and those of us who are awake and aware know how special it is to be in tune with our senses, others' sensibilities and the beautiful natural world around us.
