comment # 4 . . . "Nature provides the stillness required for us to bring our minds into clarity which is necessary for us to be able to think clearly, remove unwanted thoughts and tune into our intuition where true wisdom lies." . . . agreed, nature submersion is superior to meditation . . . meditation is focused, nature submersion is effortless . . . and with that, i shall return tomorrow, Sue and read more of your thoughts on the matter.

I find meditation so much easier when I am in Nature and fall into a natural rhythm when I am walking which is so relaxing and all-consuming. I love 'nature submersion is effortless' which is so true as long as you immerse yourself in the experience. Listening to birdsong is a wonderful way to tune in and clear the mind, it's the first thing I listen out for when I go outside.

well that's true, Sue, some folks thrash thru forests brashly, making noise, talking loudly . . . they ain't gonna get a benefit and neither will the forest.

Not at all, we have the problem of litter and dog poop bags left hanging on branches but this is mainly in the allocated and subsequently ruined 'beauty spots' they ram the populace into. This amidst thousands and thousands of acres of empty 'private' land. I always go off the beaten track where peace reigns and solitude rules the day. Catch me if you can!

comment # 2 . . . "It provides the space we need for movement and exercise" . . . absolut! there is no finer exercise than hunting mushrooms or exploring mountain streams . . . and while you get this exercise you're not even aware of it because you're being filled with wonder . . . you realize it when you go to bed . . . with sore muscles lol

comment # 1 . . . "This means we can deepen our connection without having to spend hours walking in the wild or hiking across moorlands and plains - as much as this is a superb way to get closer to Nature and exercise our limbs. " . . . i agree that any time spent in nature is time well spent and beneficial . . . but when you really get it, next thing ya know, you're out there for 10 hours and resent having to head back because the sun is going down!

This is so true. This part is particularly for those who are unable to access Nature due to their location or health situation. Our imaginations are so powerful we can get closer to Nature by reading a book about it, looking out of the window, sitting on the back step or simply closing our eyes and imagining being in a place of natural beauty.

Substack seems fairly safe for free speech and speech against the elite agenda. I’m surprised by that and delighted by it too.
