That's sounds amazing, Chris, good for you. I found out that Flat Leaf Parsley is more nutritious and I must admit I prefer it myself for garnishing, herbal teas and cooking. I am going to buy some big bundles from my local market on my next visit to create the recipes mentioned so stay tuned!

I've been digging into growing my own herbs and medicinal plants in the last few years. It is very rewarding. Parsley seems to reseed itself in my garden every year (thank goodness) and it pops up in a different place each time and surprises me.

That's wonderful, Jackeroo, it's so very rewarding. I must admit I am envious of your Parsley growing skills. It takes the longest to germinate of all the herbs and you need loads because it is so good for you and can be used in so many ways. I grow Parsley plants in pots in my tiny garden through the Spring/Summer seasons and this helps to supplement my purchases from the Farmer's Market. Spring is upon us and it's always very exciting to see what crops up as the weather starts to warm.

Last year I got a lot of seeds as I let some of the parsley go. I collected some and scattered the rest in my garden. One popped up in my raised bed a short while ago in amongst some onion sets - not where I had scattered the seeds of course. Hoping some others pop up too. This is the large flat leafed variety. My mother used to grow the crinkly kind.

I did this 2 years ago: eliminate our intake of highly processed foods that contain refined sugar, refined salt, wheat, fillers and additives.

I also dumped all supplements (except daily spirulina) to derive all vitamins from real food and herbs! 🥳

Thank you, and well done, Mari, that's wonderful. I did the Medical Medium 3-6-9 cleanse just before the lockdown and haven't looked back. Organic food is the best medicine and there are so many ways to enjoy it. I am delighted that this post resonated with you.

I still have parsley, alive and well, growing in my garden this winter. I do use it daily in salads and other foot, but I think I need to increase the amount my husband and I eat. I'm going to try the celery/parsley drink.

That's amazing, I believe it is very hardy once you get it going. My garden isn't big enough but wonderful you have Parsley through the Winter. I hope you enjoy the drink you mention and thank you for sharing.

I started using your recipe: parsley & celery, along with some fresh squeezed lemon, ginger, and a small amount of coconut water, blended, every morning. It's energizing. I love it!

I have been doing this with Italian parsley since the late '90s. I boil water, turn off the heat, and then throw a bunch in.
