Nature's Way

A poem about how Mother Nature is looking after us every step of the way

This poem is an edited version since first posting which is more indepth and adapted in rhythm for the spoken voice - I hope you enjoy.

Mother Nature nurtures us in a myriad of ways;

Through every stage of growth, through every night, through every day;

Without a thought from us, not in the early days;

As Mother Nature gives us what we need, and never strays.

As an unborn, growing slowly in the safety of our Mother’s womb;

An exquisite work of art, a seed inside a warm cocoon;

Mother Nature nourishes, protecting from any harm;

There to stimulate, to soothe, to cosset and to calm.

As an infant, vulnerable, in need of loving care;

Mother Nature lulls, pulsing life through atoms and cells;

Growing bones for movement, neurons for awareness of the world;

A baby learns at speed, deciphering life as it unfurls.

As a toddler, beaming light with boundless energy;

Full of wonder, awe, excitement, curiosity and empathy;

Mother Nature is a stage for creating real-life magical fantasies;

Rich ground for imagining, discovering, learning and being free.

As a child through youth, life twists and turns, quite rapidly;

With many paths to knowing who we are and who we want to be;

Mother Nature gives us space to see things clearly, with rationality;

Grounded in truth, to live life healthily, happily and peaceably.

We evolve on the continuum becoming wiser, as in Nature, we are driven;

We go within, bringing our innocence home where all is forgiven;

No more is hidden, we alchemise grief to love;

This is our mission;

Frequencies risen, hearts and minds create a beautiful life on Earth for everyone;

This is our vision.

Thank you for being here, for your love, humility and friendship, and for your love for Nature.
