Be The Flow by Sue Cartwright
A poem about spending time in Nature to be in your own flow and experience a beautiful way of being
Hi, I’m Sue and I write about the beauty and ingenuity of Nature, and how we can deepen our connection for our optimum health and wellbeing. Discover more Nature-inspired content on Spiral Leaf, Twitter and my video Nature Channel.
Along the river's edge, on a leafy path lit gold;
Falling in with the beat of the water's natural flow;
As the Sun dips into dusk, sparkling reflections glow;
The wonder of the beauty frees my soul, my heart slows.
Be the flow.
A fish splashes the surface, disappearing like lightening;
Swift and certain, quick, determined, scales flashing, glinting;
Swimming nimbly, tail swishing, fins fanned for gliding;
The divine beauty of perfect motion, graceful, mesmerising.
Be the flow.
All around us, from the salty air to the ground below;
Nature's rhythm nurtures, as we live, thrive and glow;
Evolving cycles, spiralling, we feel, we breathe, we know;
The more aware, the more we savour life, the more we grow.
Be the flow.
At the crown of a tree, a Robin shares a melody, singing;
Wistful notes dance and blend in subtle waves, no end, no beginning;
Pause to listen, for this perfect moment Nature has so generously given;
Never forgotten, always lifting us to a higher level of conscious living.
Be the flow.
Thank you for being here and for being your own flow. I hope you enjoy spending some being time in Nature and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
Be the flow …
The term 'Be The Flow' articulates an opposite to the well-used term 'going with the flow' which is to do what other people are doing or to agree with other people because it is the easiest thing to do.
No longer are we in a position to trust those who deem to lead us when we know that our best interests are not being considered in a world spiralling out of control through a forced agenda of profit and greed. No longer can we accept a status quo that deems to separate us from Nature and separate us from our inner spiritual selves.
Rather than 'going with the flow' it is time we seek our own truth and find our own way to 'be the flow' within ourselves and in harmony with those around us and the natural world we so love and so depend on to live a happy, healthy life on this beautiful planet Earth.
However we might be feeling at any moment in time, Nature is always there to provide space, comfort, nurture, nourishment, healing and inspiration - if only we choose to tune in and connect with the natural rhythm of life that we are intrinsically part of and are naturally designed to enjoy.
I hope you enjoy the audio video below with gentle music that will give you a moment to relax and tune into your connection with Nature, your inner soul and higher consciousness where you will find true peace and where all the answers lie.
I can hear your voice in this poem, Sue and of course am totally with you about 'being the flow'. See you when the flow next brings us together. x
Be the flow! I love it Sue! I always like to say, "go with the flow."
